Project Topic 4



The effect of training and development on employee performance.

Training and development could then be seen as a mixture of activities aimed at improving the performance of personnel in organizations for the attainment of continuous improvement in productivity in particular, as well as organizational goal in general.

In today’s business climate where many potential employees lack adequate knowledge and skills, companies are faced with stiff internal and external competition for the few quality employees available. Any organization who invests seriously in the area of Training and Development will reap the benefits of an enriched working environment with higher levels of staff retention as well as increased productivity and performance.
The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of training and development on employee’s performance.

The specific objectives of this study are to:
1.  Know the existing training and development programs.
2.  Examine the influence of training and development on worker and job performance.
3.  Identify how training and development has benefited the institution.
